Any Bike, or Trike Builder's Out There?

I'm trying to build a recumbent trike like a SIDEWINDER cycle, was wondering has any body out there a built or attempted or build one of these? I'm using an old adult tricycle axel, the spacing between the two front wheels will be tight, and it won't be as sophisticated. Thanks for all knowledgeable replies
