I updated my Internet Explorer settings, but I preffered it the way it was before?

Ever since I updated my Internet Explorer settings, I've had a tricky time navigating myself around the browser. It deleted all of my favorites and removed my Google search bar. I am really unsatisfied with the updated settings and was curious if there was any way I could change it back to how it was before. Any idea how I might go about doing that?
