Help ford mechanics!!!?

Had passenger side hub done this am on 2002 Taurus, left mechanic, went 1-2 miles and trans stopped, no drive, 1st or reverse, Does this have something to do with the hub repair, an axel or something? I have 83k on it. Thanks
