Question About Stitches?

Ok. You will not understand me unless i tell my whole story. So get comfortable. I was tubing on cayuga lake in New York when i hit something and a chunk of it went into my foot. My entire foot got extremely red and swollen within 4 hours. By the time i got back home and went to the emergency room it was 4 1/2 hours after the incident. The doctors couldn't figure out what it was, but they did know it was infected. So they cut my foot open and retreived it. It was only a piece of treated wood from a dock. Now here is where it gets tricky, they tested my foot and found strains of E-Coli inside of the foot. i was admitted into the hospital for 6 days and it was treated. It was stitched up and everything was fine afterwards. Now 2 weeks after the hospitalization, monday i got my stiches removed. i am done taking the antibiotics and i am a paintball player. Now is it safe to play paintball tommorow with the stiches being removed earlier this week (monday)? Or is it not safe for the infection? Although i am very little concerned about it considering i am done with the antibiotics so it should be out of my system. Also this is important! The doctor put these paper sticky strips to hold the wound close together because towards the bottom there was still a small gap. (Im not a doctor so i dont know the professional terminology for any of this by the way)
