Could I cosplay Axel from KH even thou I am 5 feet tall?

I would like to cosplay Axel from Kingdom Hearts, but I am 5 feet tall literally. Does my height matter? (My friend said that I couldn't cosplay Axel well because I am too short.) Could I pull it off even thou I am 5 feet tall and Axel is supposed to be like, taller than 6 feet??
