German Shepherd/Border Collie Mix Male?

Okay, im getting a German Shepherd and Border Collie mix in 2 weeks. His name is Axel and He is black and white and very fuzzy. Does anyone know if this mixes ears stand up straight or do they fall down. And i need to know if they are good with other dogs because i have an older Golden Retriever. When we get Axel he will only be 6 weeks old. Thank you for helping me out ^ ^
