Help Ford mechanics!!!?

Have a 2002 Taurus, had passenger side front hub repaired this am, Left mechanics and went 1.5 miles, stopped at stop sign, went approx 10 feet and car won't move, like trans dropped, no drive, 1st or reverse. Is this due to what they did or didn't do, something to do with the axel, it is front wheel drive, I have 83,0000k on it. It's was towed to mechanic and am waiting to hear. Opinions please, Thanks
